Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra road bike frameset

Team Panasonic | 1986/87

As ridden by Phil Anderson, this is regarded as one of the best frames of the day. Utilising Columbus SLX tubing with Campagnolo fork ends and drop outs for a stiff and light ride.

This particular frame is labelled as the team bike of Bas Luijendijk and is in used, but good condition. There are several small paint chips, but no dents or cracks. Paint and decals are original.

An ideal candidate for a high end build.

Casati road bike frameset

Gold Line S | 1980s

Exquisite paint and pantographing details, this frame is special. Internal shift cable routing for the front and rear derailleur and rear brake cables - a very rare and unusual find for a frame of this era. Comes with custom pantographed Campagnolo friction shifters with centrally mounted position for optimised aerodynamics.

Columbus SL tubing and Campagnolo fork ends and drop outs. Paint is in very good condition with only minor blemishes as expected for its age, no dents or cracks. Paint and decals are original.

Concorde road bike frameset

Gavina | ~ 1998-99

This is a high end Concorde racing frame that was most likely made in Italy, by Giovanni Pelizzoli, in the Bilato factory who also made frames for Ciocc and others. The Ciocc made Concordes are recognised by the presence of an Italian flag braze-on on the top tube. Note the race number holder too.

Columbus SL tubing and Columbus fork ends and drop outs.

The paint colours are sun faded but the paint is in other wise good condition.

The bike has been carefully cut & polished with correct/accurate decals applied.

Chrome is in good condition. There is some degradation on the the chain stay and a couple of small areas on the fork blades.

Fantastic patina that comes with a 30 plus year old frame or an ideal candidate for a full blown restoration.

Zapier road bike frameset

1970s / 1980s

Although this bike has Bardini decals, closer inspection suggests this is a repainted Zapier. The bottom bracket cutout pattern, brake bridge and seatstays are all good indicators. Morini and Ortelli are two other possible builders.

This frame is built with Columbus SL tubing and Campagnolo fork ends and drop outs. The paint and lug work are absolutely beautiful with minimal blemishes.

Mesmerising hanging on the wall or build it up and ride the hell out of it - a beautiful frameset worthy of a rigorous and thoughtful build. New decals or a respray can be discussed and organised.

Viner road bike frameset

1970s / 1980s

A beautiful example of this well regarded Swiss brand. Built using strong Columbus Cromor tubing, this frameset would make a great second bike or commuter. Paint and decals are immaculate and likely were re-done at some point in its recent history, while the chrome on the forks has some pitting, but may well clean up nicely with some fine steel wool and gentle buffing. Some lovely lugs and pantographing throughout.

Daccordi road bike frameset

1970s / 1980s

One of the oldest brands still producing bikes today, Daccordi is an icon of Italian Road bicycles. This particular frame is made of high end Columbus SL tubing with Campanolo fork ends and drop outs.

The paint and decals are original and shows the age of this frameset. It is well used with numerous chips and blemishes. There is a slight dent on the seat tube, but it does not affect the frame structurally or its performance.

This would make an incredible commuter or wet weather ride.

"Motta" road bike frameset

Unknown brand | 1980s

The origin and maker of this frameset is unknown. It is not a Motta, but was re-painted by the famous Australian frame builder and painter GEFSCO. As a result it presents absolutely beautifully and is a real eye-catcher. Tubing is unknown, but the drop outs are Campagnolo suggesting the frame is high end. This would build into a beautiful neo retro roadie or keep it classic, it’ll be hard to miss either way.

Abeni road bike frameset

1980s

A well known Australian brand, this particular frameset was made to order by Tecnotrat in Italy. The tubing is “special steel tubes heat treated” by Tecnotrat and is very light. The forks are particularly slender and elegant. Campagnolo fork ends and dropouts and some stunning brow metallic paint and white pantographing. Paint is immaculate and likely has been re-done at some point in the frame’s recent history.

Would make a lovely classic ride.
